Terms of Use

1. The service

RetakeRaw is an iOS app by Redsprint Ltd that records video, transcribes and rewrites your spoken words into a script, displays that script as a teleprompter overlay, and edits filler words out of your takes on the device. Using the app means you accept these terms.

2. Your content

Your recordings, transcripts, and scripts are yours. We claim no ownership and no license beyond what is technically needed to provide the features you invoke (for example, sending audio to a transcription provider you chose).

3. Bring-your-own-keys

If you use your own OpenAI or ElevenLabs API keys, your use of those services is governed by their terms, billed to your accounts, and your responsibility. Keep your keys secret; the app stores them only in the iOS Keychain on your device.

4. Subscriptions and refunds

Managed plans are weekly auto-renewing subscriptions billed through your Apple ID, with a free trial where offered. Manage or cancel them in your App Store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies. Plans include daily usage limits (audio minutes and rewrites) shown at purchase.

5. Acceptable use and abuse

Do not use RetakeRaw to break the law, infringe others' rights, or record people where consent is required and absent. On managed plans the AI runs on our provider accounts, which are also governed by OpenAI's and ElevenLabs' usage policies; those policies apply to what you send through the service.

The following count as abuse and are prohibited:

• Circumventing or attempting to circumvent usage limits, metering, free allowances, or the subscription gate, including by resetting identifiers or creating accounts for that purpose.
• Automating, scripting, or bulk-driving the managed AI endpoints, or using them for anything other than takes recorded in the app.
• Sharing, reselling, or offering the managed service to third parties.
• Probing, disrupting, or overloading our servers, or interfering with other users' access.
• Reverse engineering the service to extract credentials or to imitate the app's access to our servers.
• Sending unlawful or rights-infringing material through the AI processing pipeline.

We may throttle, suspend, or terminate access to the managed service for abuse, adjust usage caps to protect the service, and block identifiers used to evade enforcement. Subscription refunds after termination for abuse are governed by Apple's refund policies.

6. AI output

Scripts are generated by AI from your own words and can be inaccurate. Review before you rely on them. You are responsible for the content of the videos you publish.

7. Availability

The on-device features work offline; transcription and rewriting depend on third-party AI services and our servers, which can be unavailable or change. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Redsprint Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential losses; our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the managed service for breach of these terms, including the abuse rules in section 5, with immediate effect where the breach threatens the service or other users.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to its courts.
