1. Who we are

RetakeRaw is made by Redsprint Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. This policy covers the RetakeRaw iOS app and the retakeraw.com website. Contact: [email protected].

2. The short version

Your videos are recorded, edited, and rendered on your phone and saved to your Photos library. The only data that leaves the device is the audio and transcript sent to AI services for transcription and script rewriting, using either your own API keys or our servers, depending on the plan you chose. We do not run ads and we do not sell data.

3. Recordings and rendered video

Takes are stored in the app's private storage on your device and, when you choose, in your Photos library. We never upload your video. Deleting a take in the app deletes it from the app's storage.

4. Audio and transcripts

• Bring-your-own-keys plan: the audio track of a take and its transcript are sent directly from your phone to OpenAI and ElevenLabs under your own accounts and their privacy terms. We never see this data.
• Managed plans: the audio and transcript pass through our server, which forwards them to the same AI providers using our accounts. The server processes them in transit and does not keep your audio or transcripts after the request completes.

5. API keys

Keys you paste into Settings are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device only. They are sent exclusively to the provider they belong to (OpenAI or ElevenLabs) and never to us.

6. Account and subscriptions

The app signs in anonymously (a random identifier, no name or email) so managed plans can be metered. Subscriptions are billed by Apple; we receive subscription status from Apple but never your payment details. Daily usage counts (audio minutes, rewrites) are kept to enforce plan limits.

7. What we never collect

We collect no personally identifiable information: no name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location. The only identifier attached to your use of the app is a random anonymous ID. Your videos never leave the device. On managed plans, audio and transcripts pass through our server strictly in transit; they are never stored there, are not readable by us afterwards, and are shared with no one beyond the AI providers that process them.

8. App analytics and telemetry

The app collects anonymous usage analytics and performance telemetry (which features are used, how long operations take, and error signals) so we can improve the app and find performance problems. These events are tied to the random anonymous ID, never to your identity, and never include your recordings, transcripts, or scripts. We use KeenStats for this; there is no advertising tracking and no cross-app tracking.

9. Website analytics

retakeraw.com uses KeenStats, a privacy-light, cookieless analytics service (page views and button clicks, no cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers).

10. Data sharing

We share data only with the processors that make the service work: OpenAI and ElevenLabs (AI processing), Apple (billing), Google Firebase (anonymous sign-in), KeenStats (analytics), and our infrastructure providers (Cloudflare and DigitalOcean). We do not sell personal data.

11. Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can request access, correction, or deletion of data we hold about you. Because almost everything lives on your device, deleting the app removes it; for anything server-side, email [email protected].
